Family First
Our Vision
Family First is a lottery funded project which aims to bring together parents, carers and their children, to provide a safe environment where families can learn, play and develop a healthy lifestyle together.
Family First believe that by promoting the benefits of learning together, playing together and eating meals together, families will be able to benefit from long term positive family relationships.
We believe that strong families make strong communities and that everyone in the family has a part to play.
We are positive about the diversity of our population and work closely with the community, parents and carers and the range of groups and organisations already in the areas to ensure that the varying needs of families are met.

Who can benefit from our services?
Early Years:
We promote ‘add-ons’ to local playschool activity by offering the opportunity to parents and carers to develop the crucial one-to-one relationship with their children where play and fundamental learning is the focus
Families with children who have disabilities:
We understand the needs of children with disabilities, and the impact this may have on their siblings and family life. We provide support and promote an environment in which parents and carers can learn to enjoy the whole family and devote equal time and attention to each and all-family members.
Fathers:
We promote the provision of family friendly environments for fathers who, in playing a limited part in their children’s upbringing currently find it difficult to sustain a relationship with them. We recognize the vital role fathers have in a child’s life and provide learning opportunities for the father-child relationship to flourish.
