House System

beauchamp collegeThe house system encourages constructive competition and gives students a sense of community and belonging.

Vertical tutor groups are part of the house system and it gives the chance for students in the sixth form to act as mentors to younger students and offer them advice and support.

The college is divided into seven houses each consisting of 12 tutor groups. Houses participate in a wide variety of competitions and events, ranging from sporting competitions to creative and academic events, to gain house points and win the House Cup at the end of the year. The current holders of the house cup are Phoenix. Students play an active role in organising and running house activities, and are given the opportunity to represent their house as tutor representatives and house captains.
