New Fitness Suite at Beauchamp

Following a long journey across the seas from America, staff at Beauchamp College were excited to start installing the new state-of-the-art equipment from Freemotion and powered by iFIT today into the newly-decorated fitness suite, ready for student use in the coming weeks. The College is excited to be the first educational establishment in the UK to install such a fantastic facility for its students.

The equipment includes incline trainers, treadmills, ellipticals and indoor bikes which, through their interactive screens, will transport students to breathtaking destinations on all seven continents across the world! Whether exploring the ruins of Ancient Egypt or cycling across the land of fire and ice in Iceland and more, the equipment will help strengthen the bodies and minds of our student community through engaging and highly-immersive experiences. 

In addition to cardio equipment, the fitness suite offers machines – suitable for all ages, fitness levels, and abilities – to develop strength, balance, stability and coordination. 

With access dependent on year group, students will be able to access the equipment during structured PE lessons, through after-school sports clubs, during free periods and/or before and after school.

This is a fantastic first for Beauchamp College and is thanks to the funding received from Lionheart Educational Trust, without whom it would not have been possible.

We can’t wait to see the health and educational experiences our students enjoy from using the new Lionheart Fitness Suite at Beauchamp College.
