Year 7s Soar and Shine at Caythorpe Court

Our new Year 7 students enjoyed a fantastic start to life at Beauchamp College, embarking on a thrilling residential trip to Caythorpe Court in Grantham.

The new cohort – which consists of 258 children – was split into two groups, each one enjoying 1 and a half days at the PGL Centre.

During their stay, students were able to take part in a wide variety of exciting activities, all designed to positively challenge them and provide them with the opportunity to demonstrate our 4Rs: resilience, reciprocity, resourcefulness and reflectiveness.

They soared along the zipwire, raced across the trapeze, harnessed their inner-Robin Hood for archery, leapt down the abseiling wall and worked together to build a raft.

During their evening downtime, students created a campfire before huddling around, toasting marshmallows and singing some karaoke songs.

Students had a fabulous time; they all showed fantastic resilience while completing the activities and enjoyed the opportunity to make new friends and venture out of their comfort zones.

Well done Year 7! We can’t wait to see how you all progress this year!
